The freestyle wrestling Tournaments was started in 1951 at Finland. Turkey won the team championship. From the beginning of the events Turkey , Soviet Union and the Russia are the best in team championship.
Women’s first freestyle championship was started in 1987 at Norway . Japan and the Russia are the best team in Women competition.
Men’s Greco- Roman wrestling was started in 1904 in Austria. Soviet Union and the Russia are the main competent of the events every year.
