Service rules

  1. Match will start with 0-0 all.
  2. A player Service From Right side court to right side of other player and from left side to serve left side court of opponent.
  3.  If score is Even than service from Right Side and if score is odd then player will serve from their left side court. Even Numbers are, 0,2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20. Odd Numbers are, 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19. 
  4. Toss will decide, who will Serve first. If player A won the toss then he has choice of choose between serving and court. He can Service first or choose a court side.
  5. The Racket of the players point downward. Racket must be hit the base of the shuttle.

    5. Shuttle must cross over the net and cross the service line called right service.

     6. The Player any part of feet must be touch the court, while doing  Service. 

     7. If shuttle touches the net and land outside the line will wrong service. 

     8. During service a server’s should not delay the service if the receiver    are ready to take service. 

    9. One point is awarded for to win a rally.

    10. Twenty one 21 is the last winning point if their is difference of two points.

    11. After winning a game players change side in the court. Court A player play from other side. 

     12. In third game both players change the end, when a leading scorer reach on 11 points.

    13. If sever win a rally then service will continue and if receiver won the rally than service will change.

    14. In doubles a side get only one service if they lost the point. 

    15. In doubles, Receivers do not change their left and right side court still they won the points from opponent side.

Let Means service again with same score. Lets has different situation like, shuttle stuck in net, Foul by both players, Shuttle broken, wrong court position of players..

Long service line are Marked Inside the End line with distance 2 feet 6 Inch.

  1. In single service is allowed inside the box of end and long service line but in Doubles service is only allowed till long service line.

This line is marked away from the net with distance of 6 feet 6 inches. If during service shuttle not cross this line that’s called wrong and short service.

There  are two side line in badminton court, one is for single players game and other outer side line for doubles players. In single player service is not allowed outside the single side line but in doubles players service is allowed outside the single side line. It is marked 1 Feet 6 Inches 

Rally is a one point between the start of a service and finish of a service.

There are six very common shot are, Drop shot , Drive shot , Smash shot, Clear shot, Net Shot, Push Shot.  

            Drop Shot:-

             In this shot, Player drop the shuttle near the Net from Back line. This shot played downward on overhead shuttle.

           Drive shot:- 

           This shot played over the net and straight to the other player.

          Smash Shot :-

         In this shot shuttle above the head of player. Player jumped in air and hit hard on the shuttle downward in Opponent court. It must be very close angle between shuttle and angle.

          Clear Shot:- 

           The purpose of this shot to clear the shuttle in back court of opponent. Its played high in the air and provide time to come back on axact position.
