What is PranA Mudra

the meaning  of Pran is  life. Water and  earth are  basic need of human being. According to the biological sciences water is most  the important element of the body. Our body parts have different water percentage. Lungs have the 83% water. The muscles and kidney are 79% water. Pran mudra is the combination of Earth, water and Fire. Here we see the example of a plant. A plant need earth, water and the sun light. If water is more in plant then it will be perished.  So plant required sun light and soil also. The balance of the water, earth and the Fire is our life (Pran).

Causes and Results.

1.Water is most important for digestion of food.

2. Water is important to maintain body fluid.

3. Water and the heat maintain the temperature of the body.

4. Earth is required for the energy .

5. Earth and the fire give energy to the body and water balance this energy.

 

HOW TO PERFORM prAN MUDRA

To perform the Pran Mudra, First of all sit in any comfortable position. Your Backbone should be straight. Your both arms in resting position on the thigh and straight towards knees.  As shown in the picture, In this mudra fold your little, ring finger and thumb together. Join the tips of the finger with the thumb. Take long breath and control the breath as much as you can hold and after this exhale the breath. Beginner will practice without hold the breath.
